Bug Description

I get the following warning whenever I open a gvim window:
** (gvim:15150): WARNING **: Unable to register window with path '/com/canonical/menu/4200024': Timeout was reached

This just started to occur after my OS was upgraded.

I am not sure this is a duplicate, because:
 1. 781180 points to path '/com/canonical/menu/4E00024'
While the message I get is to path '/com/canonical/menu/4200024'
 2. I tried the workaround outlined in 771810
    (git config --global core.editor "gvim -f &")
And this did not fix my problem.
