Bug Description

Update: Bug description updated to make the change request accurate for the new, revised 11.10 dash visual designs.

-----------------

See designs in the 'sabdfl' /11_10/desktop_and_netbook/dash/ chinstrap folder. When the Dash is open, all Launcher icons (apart from the icon of the currently open lens) should loose colour saturation and gain a tint based on the average wallpaper colour.

See https://chinstrap.canonical.com/~sabdfl/11_10/desktop_and_netbook/dash/music/Music_lens_17_08_11_01.png for a example of the final visual design of this effect for 11.10

To understand how to create this exact effect contact Rosie.

In addition, mousing over the icons should return them to full normal saturation with no tint.

In addition, mousing over the icons should fully saturate them. We are
trying to de-emphasize them, not de-activate them, and having them pop
on mouseover should reassure the user that they still are functional. We
have an outstanding issue over HOW functional they should be (labels,
quicklists might conflict with the dash).

In a magical future, the icons would re-saturate on *proximity* not
mouseover.

Does desaturate. Does not handle hover effect as requested by mark. This requires changes to the way dash performs its pointer grab. Changes we cant currently support.

At the moment, icons do not desaturate, but the launcher icons are active and trigger their respective applications. They also display a tooltip.

Besides, when hovering slowly over the launcher icons, in order for their tooltip to display, then one can see a small line left on the right border of the launcher icon, which extends to the full launcher bar right countour if one goes over all icons in the same way.
