Hello,

As the french translations are under the responsibility of the French Translators, I will assign this bug to them rather than fix it ourselves.
For the record, their translation glossary currently suggest "Zone de temps" as the appropriate translation for timebox in GTD context (see http://pad.openerp.com/ubacDfeMOT )

Anyone can easily see the current translation for timebox via rosetta: http://bit.ly/lYrZeY and suggest a more appropriate translation, that any member of the French Translator team can approve.

BTW, I also noticed that "timesheet" is not consistently translated in project modules, sometimes it's "feuille de temps" and sometimes "feuille de presence"

Thanks!

Translation reviewed using "zone de temps"... "zone de temps" sounds quite odd, how do you like "Intervalle" or "Période" ?

Le problème est que "Timebox" est un néologisme qui n'avait pas été
traduit au départ.
Il faudrait pister tous les "Timebox" pour donner la meilleure solution.
En ce moment,
je n'ai pas le temps de le faire mais peut-être Fabien pourra-t-il nous
éclairer la semaine prochaine
lors de son passage à Paris.

A humble remark: whatever translation you use for "timesheet", you should
remember that it must be /separated/ enough from other similar meanings.

I see this problem all the time with the Greek translation: we find a common
word to translate 'region', but then, that word ends up being the same as the
translation of 'area'. So, we need to have a less common word in both cases,
to make sure the users won't mix the two meanings.

I do agree with you, the only solution I can imagine should be
to use some "digital esperanto" instead of english. Because
english is so often frenchglish, spanglish, germglish, niponglish,
even en_us ;))

This needs at least to be consistent, so for lack of a satisfying translation I've just reverted all french translations back to the term "timebox". Google makes me think the English term is accepted by the French GTD community for the moment.
If we can come up with a better translation this can be changed of course.
