Thank you for your bug report. You probably assigned the archive manager as the default application to open folders.
To reset this association: Right click on any folder (e.g. on your desktop or press Alt+F2 and enter "nautilus" to start the file manager). Chose "Open with Other Application..." and select "File Browser". Does this make the issue go away?

Thanks for following up on this, I'm marking the bug as a duplicate of bug #662194 -- nautilus should not automatically remember such a setting for folders.
