Bug Description

Hi all,
I liked the themes that you guys have done . I have seen the bisigi-project page and was pretty much impressed. I also installed some of the themes. But there is a huge problem. I share the desktop along with my mother who wants things a bit larger.

I saw a ubuntuforums thread/post which kinda tackles that :-

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=954607

and specifically http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6066698&postcount=3

Now while I was able to duplicate a very small part of what that guy did partly to one of your themes, it would make much sense if you could have one for normal sighted people and one who like things little larger.

Could you perhaps make better changes and put it up so more people can use your themes perhaps ?

hi,

Thanks very much for this report. It's more a suggestion than a bug.
I'm really interested by the question of accessibility in linux.
It's seems easy to do these changes.
But for me it's impossible to maintain 2 versions of each theme... (we are a too little team)
The things i can do, is to convert one of the existing theme, or to create a special one.

I do understand the issues you are stating. Please feel free to do
either way, the only thing that concerns me is that it should be a
usable theme which could have some sort of trigger (some keyboard
shortcut or something) that would change into a highly accessible one
and the rest of the time behaves like a normal theme. Is that possible
?

That would perhaps be a good solution although perhaps the programming
skills & time required may be more. Again just a suggestion.

No it's not possible for me (or i didn't have the skills to do that).
the only way is to maintain a new theme.
I'll try to adapt one of the bisigi theme. We will try with 'orange'.
Do you see that the scrollbar of this one are larger than in other
themes?

At the moment I am experiencing some broadband issues. It would take
probably a month to resolve those things. In the meantime please do
what you can. If you can make a good accessible theme for people who
want to have good-looking desktop but need bigger fonts and bigger
everything (fatter scrolllbars and fatter headers and such) it would
be good.
