Binary package hint: boinc

boinc does not show the menu panel, seems to be a problem of wxwidget or something. same problem with audacity

Please provide a screenshot; I cannot reproduce it locally.

Also, if you've localized your system, try starting Boinc Manager using "LANG=C boincmgr" from a shell/console. This will use no translations (which might cause problems here).

Also, please provide a screenshot for audacity.

LANG=C doesn't change situation

boincmgr --verbose shows:

For some reason the issue seemed to resolve itself after a reinstallation of Ubuntu.

Hi,

For me answer is:
sudo gedit /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80appmenu

comment out:
export UBUNTU_MENUPROXY="libappmenu.so"

The answer came after 4 day of searching some ways ! Apparmor, policykit, files permissions, and path !

I compared path of my machine with one of a freshup maverick in a virtualbox guest and find this variable astonishing.
UBUNTU_MENUPROXY="libappmenu.so"

This bug report help me.
