Binary package hint: ubiquity
When installing Maverick daily live as of sep 13, if the mkfs fails during the install you get a popup window saying the format failed, but it is stuck. Clicking ok does not dismiss the window, nor can you click the next button on the time zone selection frame in the background. I believe this is related to how the installer now runs the format and copy in the background while it proceeds with asking the time zone and other questions ( nice feature ). Since the installer has moved on to the next screen, the error popup from the format screen seems to be unexpected and confuses it.
