Bug Description
Using Kubuntu live 10.10 Beta candidate 20100901 with no internet available
Selected the option to install restricted software
After install, no wifi available
jockey-text -a (which is what I understand is used) works in the live session if run by hand.
After install, if I mount the USB based ISO and change the CDROM path to /media/

This is because installing bcmwl causes man-db triggers to be run, which in turn queries debconf. As ubiquity already has the debconf database locked, this fails.
The optimal solution, as suggested by cjwatson in #ubuntu-installer, is to use passthrough.
