Bug Description

Binary package hint: ejabberd

Currently we have ejabberd configured to authenticate with Active Directory and save information with ODBC in a PostgreSQL database, everything works except the vCards when we add photo.

Using Psi client we are able to publish the information of the vCard (confirmed in the database), the XML is saved correctly but if the PHOTO element is present Psi complains when anyone try to retrieve the information with the message "Unable to retrieve your account information. Perhaps you haven't entered any yet.".

As soon as we publish again the information without the photo or eliminate the PHOTO element of the XML manually using pgAdmin everyone can retrieve the information again.

No error messages appear on ejabberd.log even with log level 5.

Upstream is aware of this bug; it's being tracked as [1].
I see your comments in that bug report so it's a bit unknown to me what was the reason to file the same bug report here.

Wasn't sure about the relation between the version in Ubuntu and the one upstream, I realized later Ubuntu has a previous version (2.1.2).

It seems now it was foolish... I'm sorry.

Efren, we have just uploaded 2.1.5-2 to unstable and it contains the fix for this bug released by upstream.
As I persobally have no easy way to verify the fix actually works, please do test this version when it is pulled by Ubuntu and report back.
