Bug Description
Binary package hint: evolution
If a folder has a new message, its name is prefixed 'folder-display|'. This has only started happening recently, I can't remember it happening before I turned my computer off last night (I updated before turning it off). Will attach a screenshot.

I see this too, but the only updates that seem relevant are in language- pack-gnome- en from the last 2 days, particularly:
$ strings /usr/share/ locale- langpack/ en_GB/LC_ MESSAGES/ evolution- 2.8.mo | grep folder-display
folder-display|%s (%u)
folder-display|%s (%u)
