Need Translations Set Up

Bug Description

In the interest of making this project fully functional and 'better packaged' I was thinking that we could set up Launchpad Translations.

Apparently all that is needed is a few extra directories and a few files that list the line references for the text to be translated.
Information about this can be found here: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations

We will use Open Translations, so theoretically the entire Launchpad community could help translate.

Josh, if its not too much to ask, could you look into this and see if you could get it set up?

I should specify, all we need are the translation templates created and added to the branch so that we could use Launchpad volunteers to help translate.

I could do the French translations, but for anything else it would be up to the rest of the community. Perhaps we could hit up our UbuntuForums post and bump it to ask others to help. I know for a fact that it is possible to get users of multiple native languages on the Forums there.

Since this is, at the moment, such as small project, I think translations might over complicate things - usually it's only the biggest projects that get translated. I'll see what I can do, though.

It shows that the translation files are there, but there are no active translations for users to select (at least in french or german)

Tom, I'd just fixed it myself when I got your email. I see you licensed the file under the same license as the project is under, but I believe that Launchpad requires translations to be released under a BSD (or compatible) license: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/YourProject#Licensing

If everything works fine, then the translations branch can be merged into the main one.

Awesome. They seem to be working now.

I dont know if you received it or not, but I also posted the .pot file with the translations for .rsync added.

Thanks again.

Tom, you also need to put an underscore (_) before each message in the appropriate files. You could merge my branch into yours and then add the rsync code in if everything still works as expected.

Oh. My mistake.

Haha. Ill let them be for right now, once we get them up and working, then we could make the changes
