We probably want to have a different landing page for the site than for the fb app (screenshots, link to the app, etc.). I think the text on the web landing page should be a superset of the copy above. Thoughts?

My thinking is that we want to drive users to Facebook and keep
organizations on the website. That being said, some screenshots on the
website of the Facebook app may entice users to go to Facebook if they
somehow land on the website. When I wrote the welcome page/Facebook App
copy, I figured it would be the intro to both, but the webpage would then
drill down to more specific information for the organizations: the purpose,
how we help them do what they do, etc. The goal is consistency of welcome
messages across the "domains". I'm not opposed to suggestion, that was just
where I was going with it.

Agreed! Let's have crisiscorps.org provide a general welcome page with two main sections - one for volunteers and one for NGOs. Let's also have the apps.facebook.

Yeah, exactly. The fb stuff shouldn't be "generally" accessable from the
main landing page

reformatting.

Its up right now. We can work on the copy somewhere (wiki maybe) if we want
to improve it.
