Bug Description

HI. I installed the latest Start capability and restarted the machine (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). Now I am not able to mount dics on either the DVD drive or the Cd-Rom Drive. Both were working fine just before the Start installation.

The script is not installable... it's just a script. Try the option to reset "automount ntfs drives on startup". If the problem persists, it was not caused by this script.

Please let me know if after you select the "reset option" for automount ntfs drives from the script fixes this.

Hello Alln,

Thanks for your speedy help. I invoked the script as you requested this
time only with the reset for automount and nothing else - that did bring
back the drive icons on the desktop but Sound-Juicer was still not seeing
the drives. Turns out Sound-Juicer was having trouble finding the device to
use since I had two source drives (dvd and cd). Setting the Sound-juicer -d
/dev/sr0 after doing a wodim --devices to see the device assignments did the
trick. Although I still think there is a bug somewhere in addition to
Sound-Juicer - most likely in the latest Lucid updates becuase I still get
the drives popping in and out of the File Manager screens every so often.

So please close the bug report as it was not a bug but more a settings and
Sound-Juicer issue.

Thanks,
Orpheo
