Bug Description
Reported by Joe Lynch (https:/
Alot of people have been having trouble with the HP 7xx series lately because of the issue with /etc/pnm2ppa.conf (One needs to change something about the version line). However I have a HP 712c and have tried all of those changes yet my printer still does not work. The wierd thing is that my printer is recognized and it completes jobs it just won't print. So for instance, if I tell it to print a test page, it sits there processing the job and then it tells me it has completed the job, but nothing comes out of the printer. No errors of anything, I checked /var/log/

I have created a bug report from you support question to allow attachments. /wiki.ubuntu. com/PrintingBug InfoScript.
Can you provide the output of the printingbug info script, it can be found here: https:/
To work around bug #52814 you should run the following command:
$ sudo apt-get --reinstall install pnm2ppa
It would be nice if you could attach a complete error_log with LogLevel set to debug.
