Comment : In the install disk (CDROM or disk USB) in directory /target :
initrd.img -> boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-17-generic

The link initrd-img is broken because boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-17-generic is not found

Good luck for the Team

This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 2.2.10

---------------
ubiquity (2.2.10) lucid; urgency=low

  * Fix the default language selection for when only-show-installable-languages
    is set to true.
  * Use the file object's close function rather than os.close in
    DebconfInstallProgress. (LP: #549478)
  * Hide the currently active progress window when switching to the new progress
    window.
  * Sync the title of the install progress window in automatic mode.
  * In both of the gtk progress windows, don't show minimize or close buttons in
    only mode.

Problem is showing on the amd64 build for me (27-march release). I noted a "black screen" on dropout with a long error line stating "broken pipe" at its end (flashed by very quickly). Tried installing directly from the installer and also from the live cd desktop - both crashed repeatedly. Will try downloading a future daily build to test further.
