Bug Description

Pressing "close" on the screen shot preview button crashes Ubuntu Software Centre

Step to repro:
1. launch Ubuntu Software Centre
2. Select a category
3. Select an application you wish to install
3. Select "More Info"
4. Click on Screenshot
5. Click "close"

Boom.... Ubuntu control centre crahses.

If you click on the window close button (top right corner of the window) the entire Ubuntu software centre closes. That is also a bug.

Title: software-center crashed with SIGSEGV

UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare

One way of fixing this would be to implement <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#software-item-screen>: "Activating the screenshot (by clicking it, or pressing Enter when it is focused) should open it in your preferred image viewer." (That is, having USC not use its own screenshot window at all.)

Gary: reminder. Please make the "More Info" and "Install" buttons smaller so they match the rest of the buttons sizes in Ubuntu Software Centre.

I need this bug be fix as soon as possible because i have to use this feature when translating app-install-data-ubuntu. Each time I open the screenshot, I have to open Ubuntu software-center again.

Also crashed while downloading an application and closing the screen shot viewer. Reported crash first time, no reports afterwards.

This bug appears to have been fixed by the latest updates (possibly the gtk+ update). I won't mark it as such just yet because of the vast number of duplicates. Once there a few confirmations that this bug really has been resolved by all the latest updates, then we can mark this one as fix released.

Anyone else facing this problem ?

Seems fixed in Ubuntu Software Center 1.1.15 , [or by some other update]

If no-one is seeing this bug we can mark it fixed.

It does indeed appear fixed, most likely, as Kiwinote noted above, with today's gtk update.
