I will implement a basic bandwidth scheduler in next major release. It will be similar to the one of Transmission because I believe it will suffice for most users. The uTorrent scheduler is too complex IMHO.

This is implemented in SVN. It needs some testing though.

but for me, transmission scheduler is too simple, and it's already

Then your help is welcome to develop it. Working on a uTorrent-like scheduler would take time. Moreover, few users will have use for it in my opinion.

I'm doing the best I can, but I'm still the only active developer.

I don't think you understood me. I did not (and will not, at least not in the near future) develop a uTorrent-like scheduler.

I developed a Transmission-like scheduler (that is not yet in my PPA) for v2.2.0.

If you are a developer and if you really want a uTorrent-like scheduler. Then I advise you patch qBittorrent yourself. If you write a uTorrent-like scheduler code, I will integrate it into qBittorrent. I am the only developer right now and I don't have sufficient free time to work on such a feature (with little interest to me and most users).

Yes, I understand you about Transmission-like scheduler, no
uTorrent-like scheduler.

And i'm asking how can i take this new version with scheduler in
binary package for ubuntu, not from svn?

Because i'm only novice in Linux, and not a developer at all. And my
english is too poor, sorry for this. )

And thank you for your work and answers!

Hi!

I wouldn't agree with your belief that nobody want uTorrent style scheduler. This was the only cause I could not migrate to qBittorrent during several months. I know the people that has time limited access to internet and definitely need this thing. I would like to vote strongly for this feature.

And of course if qBittorrent will get option that allows me to stop, start, assign the priority, cut the bandwidth _using command line_ of course this would be completely enough, at least if I (all of us really =) ) won't say something about usability of this way.
I found only one discussion about command line interface https://answers.launchpad.net/qbittorrent/+question/10506. Please correct me if I say something wrong.

Thank you for excellent software anyway!

I guess all I say is subject to interpretation... But frankly:
"few users will have use for it" != "nobody want uTorrent style scheduler"

The truth is I don't have time to code this in the near future. Therefore, unless someone else writes a patch, you should not expect this feature any time soon. qBittorrent has really few contributors at the moment and this is too bad since it is Free Software.

My answer to this feature request should be considered as a call for help, and not a mere reject. I implemented a basic scheduler because it did not take too much time for me and I agree that such a feature is useful. It is better to have a basic scheduler than no scheduler. And I hope somebody can improve the scheduler in the future.
