Bug Description
The internal mic dos not work unless the following steps are performed:
install linux-backports
add the line "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" to /etc/modprobe.

Thanks for the information. Just for clarification, is it required that both of the steps be taken? Many users have found it sufficient to install just the package, others have noticed that just the line is enough.
