Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Since I upgraded to Kubuntu Hardy 8.04 (lsb_release shows Ubuntu 8.04.2), my flash player stopped working. I have tried re-installing flashplugin-nonfree.
However, after removing it and running sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree, I get HTTP 404:

download failed
The Flash plugin is NOT installed.

Note that, I did run sudo apt-get update before running this install command. So, it should have the right URL.
Also, I could not view flash in Firefox even when flashplugin-nonfree was installed and I had the .so files in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory.
Even after removing flashplugin-nonfree, I still have flash player in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins/. So, why does flash not work?
$ ls /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins/
libflashplayer.so mplayerplug-in-dvx.so mplayerplug-in-qt.xpt mplayerplug-in.so mplayerplug-in.xpt
libjavaplugin.so mplayerplug-in-dvx.xpt mplayerplug-in-rm.so mplayerplug-in-wmp.so nphelix.so
mozplugger.so mplayerplug-in-qt.so mplayerplug-in-rm.xpt mplayerplug-in-wmp.xpt nphelix.xpt

At the very least, this HTTP 404 should be fixed.

I attached the debdiff and I tested it. It upgraded the backports package properly.

I wasn't sure which repo it should go in, so I just marked it hardy. You'll have to change it to whatever is appropriate.

I tested this by:
1. uploading to my ppa https://edge.launchpad.net/~micahg/+archive/ppa/+packages
2. Boot hardy 8.04.3 i386 desktop LiveCD
3. Enable -backports
4. Have Firefox attempt to install flash
5. Package is installed, but download fails
6. Add ppa as source
7. use aptitude to upgrade flash (download works now)
8. Load flash site in firefox

Micah, thanks for the debdiff! In the future, please be sure to wrap lines to 80 characters in the changelog and generally follow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/UpdatePreparation#Packaging. I have made these changes and I am going to upload through -security.
