Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

This bug was fixed in the package gtk+2.0 - 2.17.7-0ubuntu3

Firefox is still crashing for the same sites I mentioned, despite the fix has been released. Apport does not seem to catch it. How can I report the bug?

Please file a new bug in the appropriate Firefox package (firefox-3.0 or firefox-3.5). This issue was resolved.
