Bug Description

It would be great if I'd be able to adjust the volume in Rhythmbox with my mouse scroll wheel - just move your mouse to the volume button and scroll up/down to increase/decrease volume.

This functionality is for example impemented in the volume panel applet.

Which version of Ubuntu do you use? I just tried it in Dapper and if I click on the volume icon in rhythmbox, then I can change the volume with my mouse wheel.

OK - bug is fixed. I'm able to change volume with my mouse wheel, too.

But the volume slider isn't synced with gnome-volume-applet. If I scroll down above Rhythmbox volume button, it shows a muted speaker although I can still hear sound.

And the volume change lags a little behind. If I move the slider volume changes with a little delay.

It would be nice if Rhythmbox volume slider would be synced with gnome-volume-applet.

it seems the original bug is fixed.

i opened Bug #40813 about volume changes lagging behind the slider, and Bug #40811 for the muted icon showing before volume reaches 0%

I've experienced a crash of Rhythmbox while setting the volume by the mouse wheel. Seems to be occasional since it occured just once.
