Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
From time to time (after an unpredictable period of time) the wifi connection gets lost.
It is not possible to reconnect (most of the time, the connection does not even appear when left-clicking on the applet icon)
It takes me several reboot to have the connection detected and working again (with Ubuntu 8.10, after rebooting it works fine)
Ubuntu 9.04 and 8.10

status: | New → Confirmed |
When the network is lost I can't see it either with a plugged USB wifi dongle:
Bus 002 Device 006: ID 0bda:8189 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187B Wireless 802.11g 54Mbps Network Adapter
That's Realtek wiki key : TEW424UB
When the network is working I can connect with both internal Wifi and dongle.
It is also not related to power management as the issue occurs:
- sometimes right after reboot (I can't even connect after login),
- sometimes a few minutes/hours after reeboot without having be in supsend mode.
