I have different errors every time, but three DVD's that play happily with Totem cannot be viewed by K9copy.

The same holds true when trying to open an ISO image. When I select the "Open ISO" icon to the right of where it shows my reader, it immediately responds with "Can't open disc" after I select the source ISO image. The machine in question has no trouble playing the offending ISO files with mplayer, xine, etc., and the actual DVD discs play just fine as well.

Incidentally, the program needs to explain *why* it can't open a disc or file. Corrupt image? Unsupported format? Tell me what happened (and give me the option of looking at the gross details) so I have some idea where to start looking to solve the problem.

Sorry to rant, but programs that give vague errors are just too common.

Correction - the problem in my case was in version 1.2.4, but 2.3.0 seems to work fine.

I also get the error with version 2.3.8.3 in Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS.

Running k9copy from the command line, press "Open" and get the error. The terminal shows:

$ k9copy
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QDBusObjectPath)
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath)
libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 19 (VTS_19_0.BUP).
