I also get the error with version 2.3.8.3 in Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS.

Running k9copy from the command line, press "Open" and get the error. The terminal shows:

$ k9copy
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QDBusObjectPath)
Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath)
libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 19 (VTS_19_0.BUP).
