Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
Using Ubuntu 8.10, nautilus 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1.
I have the left sidebar of nautilus set to display "tree" view. Normally two items are shown: "Home Folder" and "File System". When I plug in a USB device and it automounts, I get a third item for that device. When I right click on the USB device and select "unmount" (or "eject", which is sometimes available) immediately after mounting and before browsing any files on the device, the tree view returns to the normal two items. But if I browse any files on the device first, the usb device remains in tree view, although an error occurs if I try to access it. If I plug the device back in again without closing the nautilus window, another copy of the device appears in the tree view.
The device ought to disappear from the tree view regardless of whether I'm browsing files on the device when I unmount it.

Thank you for your bug report, could you run gvfs-mount -li before and after unmounting the device, what do you call browsing a file on the disk? you mean open something there? what application do you use?
