Bug Description

There are still a lot of Intrepid templates in "Needs review." Most of them are to be blocked; the next-biggest group are KDE.

Still waiting for approval to run our SQL script that fixes most of this.

The script has been run; the bulk is approved and importing.

The KDE changes also triggered a problem with auto-approval; templates had moved between packages, and the new ones were conflicting with the old ones for the same translation domain. We solved that by renaming and disabling the old ones. We're now waiting for approval to pick up, but the server seems to be overloaded. We're trying to get more hardware.

Do you have any estimate of when they will be available? Will they make it to packages at the time of the Final Release?

Auto-approval has done its work. Lots more imported now!

Downgrading to medium as there are only 26 .pot files remaining in needs-review, and nothing which really scares me. They should still be finished in time for release if at all possible, but it no longer seems release-critical (phew).

Jeroen, Arne, thanks for all your work!

Given the current impact on Kubuntu this should be at least high (Riddell concurred via IRC)

Isn't the remaining Kubuntu problem bug #259180, not this bug? AIUI this bug was about the long queue which is now resolved; the Kubuntu problem is a parser failure when trying to import the templates, which looks like a separate bug to me.

Bug #259180 does look more appropriate at this point. I've milestoned that bug and dropping this one back to Medium then.

Indeed, none of the needs-review pot files (https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+imports?field.filter_status=NEEDS_REVIEW&field.filter_extension=pot) are relevant to Kubuntu as far as I can see, so it doesn't make sense to take over this bug for the separate Kubuntu problem.

dropping the milestone; the queue isn't down to 0 yet so it seems reasonable to leave the bug open, but none of the remaining approvals appear to be critical.
