Bug Description

Hello,

I have a Toshiba laptop m305d; contents: AMD x70 64 ATI 3100.
Running Ibex 64 updated on kernel 2.6.27-3 generic I have no battery present indicated. I have intermittent boot freezes when it gets to "powernow". On Hardy I did not have these problems.
I'm hoping this will be fixed for the upcoming Ibex.

Included is dmesg output. here is one relevant line 22.401684] ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT1] (battery absent)

Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information.

Please include the information requested at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingACPI as separate attachments.

I see from your dmesg:

[ 22.401684] ACPI: Battery Slot [BAT1] (battery absent)

Also, the intermittent boot freeze may be unrelated. I would advise opening a separate bug report for that problem, following the procedure in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies

Thanks in advance.

Having had no response to the request for information in comment #2 I'm closing this bug for now. Please feel free to reopen (ie set the status back to New) if this issue remains with the most recent Ubuntu release (Karmic 9.10 at the time of this posting). Thanks.
