Pictures section display also music pictures

Pictures album display medias from your pictures directories, but also from your music directories.

Step to reproduce:
1. put pictures in your music directories
2. Launch Elisa and scan all
3. Go in pictures and albums

Expected result :
You see only your picture directories

Current result:
You see your picture and music directories

Even though that looks like something easy to fix it goes down to the root of the architecture and simply shows us that the assumption of "directories" as the "album names" can't work out.

The only sane way of fixing this bug is a user managed album system or the import of a managed album system (like tags from fspot or picassa).

Does it mean that all three "Add in Pictures/Video/Music" entries just tags the directory as having "something"? I can not understand that it should be so difficult for the scanning function to ignore picture files in a directory/tree that is not marked as having pictures.

No it does not mean that these entries tag the directories as having "something" (which indeed would be quite stupid). As pointed out by Benjamin though, the issue is not a trivial one, but fixing it is definitely a priority.
