Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I have two computers networked by ethernet router on a dSL line with a D-Link Router.
Comp 1: Intel Pentium IV Ubuntu Release 7.10, Kernel Linix 2.6.22-15 Generic, Gnome 2.20.1 Thunderbird 2.0.016 (2080724)
Comp 2: Intel Pentium 3 proc 996Mhz Windows XP Pro ver 2002, serv pac 2 Thunderbird 1.0.7 (2005, 0923)
I can send out , but I'm not able to send to my other networked computer. I have not been able to receive an e-mail since Friday morning. I can get my messages on Frontier web server, and that's what I'm sending this to you on. I have a slew of error messages on the Error console in Comp #1, but none on Comp #2.
Some of the error console messages are:

Error: fp.file has no properties
Source File: chrome://messenger/content/amUtils.js
Line: 81

Warning: Error in parsing value for property 'CURSOR'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: mailbox:///home/jud/.mozilla-thunderbird/znexdzsq.default/Inbox?number=1347223048
Line: 0

Error: missing ; before statement
Source File: javascript: Warning: Unrecognized at-rule or error parsing at-rule '@font-face'.,Source File: mailbox:///home/jud/.mozilla-thunderbird/znexdzsq.default/Inbox?number=0,Line: 38
Line: 1, Column: 23

Warning: Unknown property 'mso-style-type'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: mailbox:///home/jud/.mozilla-thunderbird/znexdzsq.default/Inbox?number=1119703261
Line: 58

Warning: Unrecognized at-rule or error parsing at-rule '@page'.
Source File: mailbox:///home/jud/.mozilla-thunderbird/znexdzsq.default/Inbox?number=10619924
Line: 49

Etc...many are redundant, probably representing all the attempts to receive messages.

I'm also unable to open any Thunderbird/Mozilla help sources other that the FAQ page, nor can I open Hotmail Live, and Pidgin. There seem to be a number of pages Mozilla won't load that just time out, but others come right up.
I have no idea what other info might help. I have not created any new profiles, as I'm unsure just how to do that. I will be working on that next.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to reconfig. But how do I do that on
my XP box?

Please try with a fresh profile. Rename your .mozilla-thunderbird folder in your home-directory to e.g. .mozilla-thunderbird-old. Then start thunderbird and setup an account. Does it work for you now?

Apparently Frontier changed some settings that I was unaware of. The
problem has been resolved. Thank you for following up on it. I
appreciate your concern.
