This was just a time when xulrunner wasnt synched to your
mirror. shouldnt happen for hardy-updates. users. thanks for testing
anyway.

This DID happen to a hardy-security user, with hardy-updates or hardy-proposed NOT enabled, update notifier NOT enabled, and "install security updates unattended" enabled.

Basically: firefox just suddenly stopped working without any apparent reason. Works now, but had to launch update manager manually to make it work.

this isnt a bug. this happens when you manually remove stuff from /etc/gre.d ... which you shouldnt.

AFAIR this problem appeared after a regular update. I never messed around with the files in /etc/gre.d.

well. if you didnt manually touch those files (or maybe some 3rd party application did), your .conf file should always be there.
