By sudo dpkg-i - force-all / var/cache/apt/archives/manpages-fr-extra_20080618_all.deb, it works perfectly.
man -L fr ls

la commande exacte avec les espaces et tirets au bon endroit :
sudo dpkg -i --force-all /var/cache/apt/archives/manpages-fr-extra_20080618_all.deb

cela force l'installation ensuite "man ls" répond en français.

Merci beaucoup de votre réponse mais en fait c'est ubuntu qui m'a exécuté tout ça tout seul! Je ne me rappelle plus pourquoi! Et il m'a demandé de le signaler et je l'ai fait!

I confirm this bug:

Are you all going to try the command and post that it works, while the workaround for Intrepid is listed several times above and this is more likely fixed in Jaunty ?

Not adding a comment on a bug report unless it provides important information for this bug also contributes in making the bug tracker efficient (and in decreasing the amount of work for bug triagers).
