Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please try to obtain a valgrind log following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

Hi Pedro;
Each time I launch evolution I can reproduce the copy/paste crash. But when I launch it as indicated in valgrind wiki page (G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind -v --tool=memcheck --leak-check=full --num-callers=40 --log-file=valgrind.log evolution) the copy/paste operation succeed !!
What do you think about ??

the valgrind log has some errors but you didn't install the debug versions so it lacks details to be really useful

With version 2.22.1.1-0ubuntu2 this is no longer reproducible for me.

Bear with me; I'm still new to Ubuntu and Linux. I'm experiencing this bug also and have been keeping up with the automated Ubuntu updates, but the problem is still occuring. The 'About' window in Evolution shows I'm still on version 2.22.1. Is there something special I need to do to get the fix? I'm guessing at this point that this fix is not yet part of the package automatic updates...

Guidance is appreciated... Thanks.

You must enable 'hardy-proposed' updates. If you use Synaptic it is under Preferences|Repositories , then 'Updates' tab.
