After Todays updates I am down to a single broken package on my hardy PowerPC system:

nkbj@plutonium:~$ sudo apt-get install openoffice.org
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
openoffice.org: Depends: openoffice.org-officebean but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages
nkbj@plutonium:~$

The problem with openoffice.org on powerpc depending on the non-existent openoffice.org-officebean (due to java being disabled) will be corrected in an upload in a few days after the Ubuntu 8.04 release candidate is released probably tomorrow.

Niels,

Can you please verify that all of the rest of the openoffice.org packages install correctly on powerpc so that I can fix any other issues in the next upload. I don't have easy access to install packages on powerpc myself.

Thanks!

Chris

This is an unrelated failure; I believe you're seeing bug #219703.

That failure also appears to be reproducible on amd64...
