[Hardy] Wrong status in gdebi after failiure to install package while other package manager is running

Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdebi
After clicking Install Package in gdebi while another package manager was running it of course said that another package manager was running. So it when back to the main screen and the status bar said "Installing Package..." when it wasn't. Look at the screenshot.
Using Ubuntu 8.04 beta with latest updates
