Bug Description
The installer reported that my smb.conf was different to the one in the package. I clicked on the menu option "launch a shell to investigate things" (or something like that) - everything froze for quite some while, then I found myself at a shell. I made a copy of my smb.conf, exited the shell, and then the installer announced that things had failed.

Thank you for the bug report. I tried to reproduce the issue by upgrading to 22.04 with samba using your smb.conf but was unable to. Do you know which release you upgraded from? Also did your upgrade to 22.04 succeed otherwise? Lastly do you know if the copy of smb.conf you were able to make differs from the SMBConf.txt file listed above?
