Hi,

I fixed update-manger package later and did an update again and it is
alright now. However, the install process was not smooth. Update of
update-manager failed during the update process.
After fixing the packages, update, upgrade wen through fine.

Would you still like this output?

Thanks,
Kalyan

This update seems to be stuck for me. It has been installing for about 20 minutes already. Here is what the output of Update Manager says.

Oops, I think I killed the process as I was trying to copy the text. I'll post a screen shot. Let me know what else you'd need to know.

I'll try to avoid messing with my system until you get the information that you need. I have not yet closed my update manager.

Ok, so I didn't get the error listed in this ticket, but the install seemed to hang while updating to version 1:0.81.2 which is the same version listed in this ticket. Please tell me if there's any useful information I can provide.

On the bright side, if my system is messed up, it's not long till Hardy.

I had some other updates available this morning and I installed them. After I did this I reread your comments and saw that you wanted the output from the command 'sudo aptitude upgrade' so I have pasted that output below. I'm itching to fix the error I got, so sorry, but I'm going to reinstall the update manager.

W: The "upgrade" command is deprecated; use "safe-upgrade" instead.
