There has been a major code rewrite, could anyone please pull lp:ubuntustudio-controls/trunk and try and reproduce this bug?

I'm running Vision Tek Radeon 1050 aftermarket video card, not onboard Intel or AMD, so I'm not sure about the
hypotheses offered. Please, keep me informed as to your discovery. I am definitely not running the i845 Intel chipset.

This is definately not related video chipset. Afaict, it is because one of the gtk.widget objects is not being returned in some instances. Are you able to recreate this bug consistently?
