Bug Description
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and have been experimenting with compiz fusion.
This bug has occurred since installing compiz. Removing compiz has not solved the problem.

I had this problem but I managed to fix it by editing my .gtk-bookmarks file in my home folder. There was an entry in there pointing to a network folder which no longer existed, removing this entry solved the problem.
Contents of my .gtk-bookmarks file:
file:// /home/user/ Music /home/user/ Pictures /home/user/ Videos desktop: ///Music% 20on%20server. volume <- removing this line and re-logging solved the problem
