Sounds like this is now also blocked on bug 1802533.

Unfortunately not, because we'd need to depend on libpipewire that isn't in the main repository for 20.10.

I'm on Ubuntu 21.04, upgraded to Gnome 40. My system should be fully up to date, but this problem is still there for me. Is this normal, or should the fix have reached my machine by now?

I had the problem in 20.10 as well, though it worked on 20.04. Always in Wayland.

When trying to run pipewire in the terminal I get the following error, which may or may not be related:
```
GNOME 40 is not supported in Ubuntu yet so please don't report bugs about it. Also this bug is closed already. If you have any problems with the supported packages in Ubuntu then please open a new bug.
