Bug Description

Using the `Shift`+`Prnt` shortcut to select a rectangular region for screenshots does not initiate the selection as expected, but rather, opens the MATE Screenshot GUI utility with the "Select an area to grab" option highlighted. This causes issues with popups or other elements which disappear or dismiss themselves once another window is given focus, or moving points of focus cannot be captured due to the delay in action.
