Bug Description

when I click on the Activities button and try to start an application my X session freezes. I can move the mouse around and bring up the dock on the side of the screen, but no windows will come up. This problem does not come up if I open applications from the applications menu, dock, or terminal. I can only solve it by logging out and logging back in.

Please start by uninstalling all of these extensions:

and then reboot. Since we find so many bugs are caused by extensions, removing them must be the first thing we try. And they need to be uninstalled and not just disabled because a buggy extension can still interfere with the shell.

Thanks. If you can figure out which extension was causing the problem then we can possibly reopen and reassign this bug to just that extension.

I tried to but was unable to replicate. There were several extensions which
gave me an error when I tried to reinstall them.
