Localized language (Icelandic) incomplete - the system not fully localized.
This occurred testing Kubuntu Focal Desktop daily build 20191104.

Many pages/texts are mixed with both English and Icelandic

The calendar settings show the regional settings correctly.

Please note that essential parts of Kubuntu is KDE packages which are translated elsewhere.

Guess this is an upstream problem; for over a year I've been intending to reconfigure my SVN-access at svn.kde.org and renewing my SSH-keys along the route. Time constraints have been the main problem here, but also the fact that the only KDE-thing I regularly use is the Digikam photo manager (lost a bit of interest in the Plasma conversion).

This is of course a bit awkward because for several years I have been the only active translator in KDE ;-( Not sure I'll find time anytime soon for KDE, but perhaps maybe...

What I think is going on is that there has been a major reshuffling/renaming/cleaning of translation files on the KDE-servers, and thus less confirmed translations filtering down to the Kubuntu level (I still read the <email address hidden> mailinglist).

Thanks for the reply but I also am short on time. Most interested in

Hello all, I have been completely passive in translations for a long time, so
maybe it is time to get active.
However I am a bit busy repairing my car right now, so how many days do I
have to complete this?

KDE-translations for Kubuntu are nowadays all done upstream on svn.kde.org, I presume. A basic KDE-system in Icelandic used to be rather complete, but now it would need a lot of love. See this: https://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf5/team/is/

In my experience it takes about 6-8 months for new upstream translations to trickle down to respective version in Kubuntu.

@Anna: Great if you can make an effort with this. Take the time you need - there is no deadline, really. The sooner you do it, the sooner the translated strings will be visible to the Icelandic users, that's all.
