Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
I have an up-to-date i686 gutsy install on a Dell XPS M1710 laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS.
When I set-up TwinView, enable Compiz, and increase the size of the taskbar to well above the default in (right click on Taskbar) -> Properties, there is a point where maximized windows are no longer sized correctly (after re-maximizing them to get around bug 172716, of course). Instead of their bottom ending at the top of the taskbar, they go straight to the bottom of the screen. Their bottom is hidden behind the taskbar and thus cut-off. For me, this happens precisely whenever the size of the taskbar is 119 pixels or greater. (If it's relevant, the main monitor's resolution is 1920x1200 and the second monitor is 1920x1080.) This is unfortunate since my preferred taskbar size is 120 pixels.
Hi. Thanks for reporting this. Is this still a problem? Could you attach the following files for us: ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/ Xorg.0. log, and the output of lspci -vvnn.
Thanks!
