Bug Description

FFe justification: roundcube 1.1.4 does not support PHP7.

PHP7 will not be supported by roundcube < 1.2
(http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1490544). Roundcube is at 1.2~beta and
I will take it as an action to request a SRU once 1.2 officially
releases.

The attachment "roundcube_1.1.4+dfsg.1-1.1.2~beta-0ubuntu1.debdiff" seems to be a debdiff. The ubuntu-sponsors team has been subscribed to the bug report so that they can review and hopefully sponsor the debdiff. If the attachment isn't a patch, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are member of the ~ubuntu-sponsors, unsubscribe the team.

I have subscribed ~ubuntu-release to this bug per the freeze exception documentation [1]. We'd prefer that you wait to subscribe ~ubuntu-sponsors until/if the FFe is approved - thanks! I've removed ~ubuntu-sponsors from the subscribers accordingly, for now.

FFE trivially approved -- we move to PHP 7.0, so quite obbiously we need the PHP modules to tag along.

I'm going to disagree with the trivial approval here, because what's proposed is an update to a beta now and an SRU to a final release later. Will the delta between the beta and the final release be bugfix only, and thus fit our SRU policy? Is the time that will be required to do an SRU justifiable (for either the uploader or the SRU team), or is there a risk we will be left with a buggy beta package in the LTS instead?

roundcube+roundcube-plugins-extra are leaf packages, there's also the option to remove them rather than committing to an SRU.

I planned on spending my free time, if need be, to ensure the packages
got updated appropriately.

I think we would need to drop roundcube-plugins-extra, as I'm not sure
if they are compatible with 1.2. I'll try to figure that out by
interacting with upstream and the Debian developers.

indicates any time now. I'll try and prod upstream on this next week.

Fixing up the upstream version to 1.2~beta+dfsg.1, which is what uscan gives me also.
