Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

Podcasts downloaded with the podcast plugin sync to the ipod and can be played, however they dont show up in the "Music->Podcasts" menu on the iPod.

I guess this is just a missing piece of metadata/list in the database. I did have a quick google to see if it was something obvious, but didn't spot anything.

I can apply that there is an error in this version 1.4.2, the ipod nano 3r generation, this problem is hampered by the use of ipod, it should be corrected or deleted support plugin ipod from the banshee (as apart from this mistake, there is still a large amount of trouble like this)

Hi everybody,

Just to let you know there's a patch available [1] to fix this issue in Banshee. It tried and so far is working great. I posted some instructions to apply and compile the package that needs fixing (libipod-cil) in the upstream bug page too [2].

To my great disappointment, this is still affecting 1.7, with libgpod-sharp 1.0.3093. Oddly this seems to be a regression, as it still works with a Lucid install, but updating to Maverick had caused this issue.

I can confirm a similar issue on 10.04 with Banshee 1.8. I'm using a iPhone 3GS. Banshee appears to sync to the phone just fine and in fact, the podcasts show up under the podcast subcategory on Banshee. When I unplug the phone, the podcasts show up under music and won't play at all as if the files were corrupted. Music syncs and plays just fine. The issue is only with podcasts. Podcasts cannot be deleted through Banshee.

It's quite likely that it's caused by a different bug. Could you file a new bug
please? (And forward to bugzilla.gnome.org).
