Bug Description

Dell Inspiron 3441 (CID 201403-14840) system is too slow to use.

Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. Try to install Ubuntu 14.04.1 on target machine.
2. Log in system.
3. Try to open a terminal.
4. Execute 'glxgears'.

Actual results:
1. It takes more then 30 minutes to finish installation.
2. It takes more then 3 seconds to open terminal window.
3. The animation free from slowness.

Expected results:
System should run smoothly.

Gabriel Zhi Chen, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/inspiron-14-3441-laptop/drivers an update to your BIOS is available (A02). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Yes, looks like it is the same issue. While the open source radeon driver does not have the support yet, it is worthwhile to check fglrx.
