Another example of incorrect/confusing nesting: GCC and systemd appearing beneath Google Chrome (from the dl.google.com repository).

Attached another example of wrong grouping. Here 4 packages related to apt is shown as belonging to Skype (also a package from a PPA).

I can give another example (and not the first one I've seen).
The group is qbittorrent, but apt, libudev1, apt-utils, libapt-pkg6.0, libsystemd0 all aren't related at all.
qbittorrent comes from a PPA (http://ppa.launchpad.net/qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable/ubuntu).
There are non-grouped libudev1:i386, libsystemd0:i386 and I had the impression before that the occurrence of both a native and a i386 package may be involved in the mis-grouping.

screenshot shows that in addition to the mis-grouping reported before, now (for me) firefox also has unrelated stuff grouped within it, on the other hand, I would have expected the firefox language pack to be grouped with firefox, which it isn't.
No PPA involed in the firefox mis-grouping, but libraries wrongly grouped have versions for i386 which are not grouped.

as attached, from today: grouping gnome-disk-utility wrongly contains libpam-modules, libpam0g, libpam-runtime (but not libpam-modules-bin, libpam0g:i386)

update-manager version: 1:20.04.10.7

Just now: libxml2, libhogweed5, libnettle7 wrongly grouped, firefox-locale-en wrongly ungrouped
all three wrongly grouped have i386 packages that are ungrouped
update-manager version 1:20.04.10.7
