Bug Description

Greetings,

There were several problems very near the end of the installation process of v7.04; some of which got automatically reported, but I don't think that this one did:

-------------
Could not install 'hplip'

The upgrade aborts now. Please report this bug against the 'update manager' package and including the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bug report.

Subprocess post installation script returned error exit status 1
-------------

The three log files are too long to post here -- where do I send them, or how can I post them? It is rebooted and running now, but there do seem to be some glitches, like Evolution closing unexpectedly while check for email.

Neil

According to bug #68376 the same problem also seems to occur on dist-upgrade from Dapper to Edgy.

I still have trouble updating hardy. In my case, the reason seems to be
/usr/share/python-support/hplip not being there (I guess the previous version did not have it)

In any case, upgrades to feisty are no longer supported. Closing as wontfix. Please continue to report problems you find in later versions. Thank you.
