The windows not resize when plank run on no-hide mode

I don't know if this is just me, or if it's a new feature but I find it kind of annoying. Anyways, I like Plank on the don't hide setting, but recently the window just goes under the dock. Before, the dock cut the window off right above it. I'm not sure how to explain it. I know I'm not doing that good of job but I'm sure you guys probably know what I mean. Thanks (:

I find that I have to go into switchboard to change the Hide Mode to something else and then back to Don't Hide to make windows not go under the dock when maximized.

I should add, the Don't Hide mode works fine until I log out or restart, and log back in.

I updated my system, and this problem is still happening. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling plank but I have had no luck. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Wait I fixed it by changing to "auto hide" and back to "don't hide". Thank you so much (:

I still experience this issue with all the latest updates on a freshly installed system.
