your alarm as always is awesome just wish it was easyer for newbs like me to install it outside of the ubuntu repository.

I'm not convinced this is a great idea - while it does make it easier to install, it also means there are in-between debians floating around. Maybe an debian could be posted that's named to reflect its in-process nature. I'll think about this though and try to come up with a way that works well.

i dont see how having this on a ppa is a bad thing yes you get in
between builds and so forth but all in all the deployment of FIXED BUGS
is easyer and another advantage is that by doing this makes it easyer
for people like me a heavy linux GUI user be more able to get install
and even be able to keep up with newer builds of wakeup.
  Also if you keep the deb packages on the website the people who are
stuck with in between builds can install older or newer packages to
accommodate what they need.

The newest version has been built - you can find it at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wakeup/1.3-0ubuntu2/+build/3875909/+files/wakeup_1.3-0ubuntu2_all.deb or through the software center, although it may take a little bit for the software center to sync up. Still will consider this for the future.
